Looking to change up your standard buffalo wings? How about making some lemon garlic chicken wings instead. It’s a great break from the heat and good for the entire family to enjoy, especially the kids! The zestiness of the lemon gives the wings a refreshing summer taste while the garlic and parsley add a punch of flavor to a plain wing.  And best of all, because the wings are first made on the grill, you get a delicious crispy grilled texture.

How to grill chicken wings

In a large bowl, coat raw chicken wing pieces in olive oil and season them with lemon pepper seasoning. Toss them around to make sure each piece is nicely seasoned.

Heat up the Big Green Egg grill to 350 degrees and place the wings on indirect heat.  Make sure to flip sides every 5 minutes for about 35-40 minutes or until wings reach an internal temperature of 180 degrees.

Must have grillin seasonings!

How to make the Lemon Garlic Sauce

While the wings are on the grill, it’s time to make the sauce.  In a sauce pan add a stick of butter⁣, minced garlic, freshly squeezed lemon juice, lemon zest, honey, lemon pepper seasoning and chopped parsley⁣. Let the ingredients simmer over low heat for 10 minutes allowing the butter to melt and mix nicely together for that perfect wing coating.  The aroma from this sauce fills the kitchen with that tangy and savory scent. Trust me, you’ll be salivating before this recipe is ready!

Sauce up the lemon garlic chicken wings!

Time to toss the wings in your special sauce!  Once the wings are cooked, place them in a large bowl and toss with that delicious, fragrant sauce. Make sure to coat all the wings around all sides for that optimal flavor with eat bite.

Top off the lemon garlic chicken wings with some freshly shredded parmesan cheese and more chopped parsley. Serve and enjoy!
