Time to grill the Lemon Pepper Chicken.
First things first, grill the chicken. While I usually go with thighs for most of my chicken recipes, this time I chose breasts. It’s a leaner cut that will absorb the zesty lemon pepper sauce.
Because breasts are thicker than thighs, you want to make sure you have even pieces. This will help the meat to cook evenly and prevent any dry spots. I decided to pound the chicken breasts, but you can also filet the breast into 2 thinner pieces. The choice is yours.
Next, I used olive oil as the binder and seasoned both sides with Lemon and Pepper seasoning.
Preheat the grill to 400 degrees and set it for direct heat. Grill 5 minutes per side or until the internal temp of the chicken breasts reach 160 degrees. Remove it off the grill and let it rest while you prep the sauce.

How to make homemade Lemon Pepper Sauce.
This sauce is so good! It wakes up the dish with the fresh zesty tartness from the lemons which is balanced by the sweetness of agave.
In a sauce pan, melt a stick of butter. Add in chicken broth and freshly squeezed juice from 2 lemons. To add a little more flavor, add some lemon zest to the mix. Next, sprinkle in more lemon pepper seasoning, capers and agave sauce. Mix the ingredients together until it reaches a boil.
Grill baby broccoli.
There is nothing like grilled veggies. It’s my favorite way to cook and eat them. For this recipe, I went with baby broccoli. Keep the seasoning to a minimum. A little bit of olive oil and kosher salt is all you need. Toss the veggies and throw them on the grill grates. Turn after a minute on the grill and remove once the grill marks appear.
Before serving, pour the homemade sauce all over the lemon pepper chicken, add a side of the grilled baby broccoli and dinner is served. Enjoy!
