Ingredient List for the Maple Bourbon and Bacon Dip

Ingredients for the maple bourbon and bacon dip.
  • Cream cheese: creamy base for the the dip.
  • Butter: adds richness to the recipe.
  • Maple syrup: use natural maple syrup and not the breakfast kind.
  • Brown sugar: adds a caramel flavor to the dip.
  • Powdered sugar: provides sweetness and smooth consistency.
  • Bacon: grilled and candied strips for a savory and salty crunch.
  • Seasoning: I used maple bourbon seasoning to add more of that savory taste and counterbalance the sweetness of the sugar.

Crisp up the bacon

seasoned bacon strips.

The only ingredient that needs to be cooked in this Maple Bourbon and Bacon Dip is the bacon.

Not only did I crisp it up on the grill, but I candied it as well.

For this recipe, I used a thick but bacon. It has more meat and adds more chew in the dip.

Start by laying down a few strips of bacon on a wire rack. Brush a thin layer of pure maple syrup on each strip and season with a maple bourbon rub.

Preheat the grill to a medium 350 heat and cook until the bacon is crispy.

Recipe Tip

Don’t have a grill or don’t want to heat it up, crisp up the bacon in the microwave, air fryer or oven.
