Step 1: Prepare the pork tenderloin
My local grocery store sells pork tenderloin in packs of 2, which is the perfect dinner size for a family of 4. If the loins are larger in size, use one and freeze the other for later use.
Start the prep by trimming off any loose fatty pieces and trimming off any silver skin that may be on the protein.
Next, drizzle some olive oil over the tenderloins and cover all sides. This will work as the binder for the seasoning. Season generously with Dad’s All Purpose rub. It’s the perfect savory blend on pork and chicken with notes of salt, pepper and paprika.
Set aside and allow the meat to sweat absorbing all those wonderful flavors from the rub.

Must have grillin seasonings!
Step 2: How to make a honey garlic sauce
This honey garlic sauce is a winner in my recipe book! Not only was it amazing on the pork tenderloin, but it will go great on any chicken recipe. It’s sweet with a little kick, savory and perfect for this meal.
In a saucepan, add chicken stock, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, honey, minced garlic, Dad’s All Purpose rub, crushed red pepper flakes and corn starch to thicken the liquid. Whisk the ingredients together.
Step 3: How to grill the perfect honey garlic pork tenderloin
This honey garlic pork tenderloin cooks fast! You can cook the pork and sauce all at the same time.
Start by preheating the grill to 375 degrees and set it for dual zone cooking. This means you have a direct side to the heat and an indirect side for when you need to glaze the pork or cook longer without charing the outside.
Place the seasoned pork tenderloins on the grill first followed by the sauce pan with the sauce. Cook the pork about 1-2 minutes per side. Continue to flip for an even cook all around and to avoid burning the outside. At the same time, whisk the sauce as it comes to a boil. If you prefer to do these separately, that is fine too. My reco would be to start with the sauce and then move to the pork.
Once the pork reaches an internal temperature of 140 degrees, move them it to the indirect side and glaze with the honey garlic sauce.
Next, remove if off the grill and cover with foil. Allow the honey garlic pork tenderloin to rest for 10 minutes which will help redistribute the juices and keep the loin nice and tender.

Recipe Tip
If the pork has not reached 140 degrees internally and the outside is starting to show signs of it burning, move it to the indirect side to finish cooking.
Before serving, slice up the pork tenderloins into smaller individual pieces, pour more of the honey garlic sauce all over the slices and enjoy!
Frequently Asked Questions:
The best way to avoid dry meat or know if any protein is ready is to check the internal temperature. Pork especially! Remove the pork chops at 140 internal degrees and rest for 10 minutes for the perfect tender and juicy meat.
