Need a quick but delicious last minute dish? Let me show you how to make this tequila lime shrimp that is guaranteed to be a show stopper. With just a few ingredients, this recipe brings the party to your mouth with savory, zesty and spicy flavors that make for the perfect finger food.
Prep the shrimp and tequila sauce.
For those getting whole shrimp, make sure to devein each crustacean. To do so, cut down the top of the crustacean and remove the thin dirty vein. I went with large shrimp that were already deveined. It speeds up the process. Remove the shell but keep the tail on.
Drizzle with some olive oil for the binder and season with Dad’s All Purpose rub. Set aside while you prep the sauce.
The tequila sauce is a great way to add flavor and vibrance to a dish. I recommend using a reposado tequila which has deeper notes and toastier savory flavors. Add some freshly squeezed lime juice, diced up jalapeno, cumin and more Dad’s All Purpose rub. Mix the ingredients together.
