Let’s wrap the sausage with shrimp!
This recipe is very simple and requires only a few ingredients. For the shrimp, make sure to get jumbo sized shrimp with the shells already removed. Trust me, this will save you some time.
For the sausage, I went with Zatarain’s Andouille Smoked Sausage. It’s mild in flavor with a surprise kick of paprika as you bite through. Cut up the sausage links into small medallions and place in a large mixing bowl along with the raw shrimp.
Next, drizzle some olive oil and season with your choice of BBQ seasoning. I used Kendrick BBQ, but a cajun seasoning will also work great with this dish.
Assembly is pretty simple. Place the sausage medallion in the center of the shrimp and skewer it together with a toothpick. That’s it!

How to grill the perfect shrimp.
Heat up the grill to 400 degrees direct heat. Grill the shrimp wrapped sausage skewers 2 minutes per side and they are done. You don’t want to go any longer as you risk the chance of over cooking the shrimp.
For the dipping sauce, I recommend the new Truff Hidden Valley Ranch Sauce. It has the heat and earthy flavors of the traditional truff mixed in with the soothing ranch taste. It’s the perfect combo for dips!
