There are so many ways to cook salmon. From marinades to parchment paper, but my favorite is a grilled cajun salmon. This recipe is super simple to make and that honey glaze on top will having you coming back for seconds.
Start with the glaze.
First, lets’ start with the glaze that will go on top of the salmon for that amazing cajun flavor. In a bowl, add melted butter, honey, cajun seasoning, minced garlic and mix all together. Set a side while we prep the fish.
Foil boat for the glazed salmon.
Next, we have to get the salmon prepped. Because of the glaze, you will need a base for the salmon so that none of the liquid spills into the grill.
Remove your salmon from the package. My favorite salmon is from Salmon and Sable. It’s a family operated business that delivers freshly caught wild salmon from the Alaskan waters directly to your doorstep. Cannot get better quality than this!
To make the foil boat, pull out a sheet of Reynolds Wrap Heavy Duty Foil, enough to cover the entire fish, and roll up the edges to create a wall for the boat.
Next, pour that glaze all over the salmon and it’s ready to hit the grill.
How to properly grill salmon
Heat up the grill to 350 degrees and place the salmon boat on indirect heat for 15-20 minutes until the fish reaches 130 degrees internally. Once the temperature is reached, remove off the grill and let it rest for another 10 minutes. This process allows the salmon to reach its optimal temperature without drying the meat.
For the finish, sprinkle some chopped parsley and enjoy this amazing grilled cajun salmon!
