1/2
cup
Milk or Heavy Cream
1/2
tbsp
Maple Bourbon rub - or Cinnamon
1
tsp
Vanilla extract
1/2

Cinnamon
Instructions
Separate the Kings Hawaiian rolls and slice in half. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, add eggs, heavy cream or milk, vanilla extract and Dad's Maple Bourbon Rub or Cinnamon.
Dunk each slice into the custard and set aside on a baking sheet. If there is any leftover custard, pour it over the already soaked sliced.
Preheat your grill or griddle to medium heat and set for indirect heat.
Place the soaked bread directly on the hot surface and cook until golden and crisp on the bottom, then flip and repeat.
In a clean bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon. Coat each grilled french toast in the mixture. Enjoy!
Notes
Use day old bread to prevent the soaked slices from getting too soggy.
Coat the slices while still warm.
